Aion 2 Guide: Optimized Oiema Build and Cycle (Post-Patch)
This guide presents an optimized rotation and build for the Oiema class in Aion 2. The discovery described herein was possible prior to the current patch but has remained unnoticed. The core principle involves managing the bubble (resource) economy more efficiently by leveraging the interaction between the 5th Steel Body's Spear Dragon ability and the Spiral skill. For players looking to gear up quickly to test this rotation, you can buy Aion 2 Kinah to acquire the necessary equipment without extended farming.
This adjustment streamlines the standard cycle, reduces reliance on certain filler skills, and results in a significant damage per second (DPS) increase.
Part 1: Core Principle – Bubble Economy Adjustment
The standard Oiema cycle typically consumes 2 bubbles for Utilization and Wind God. Circulation provides 0.5 bubbles. Spear Dragon, granted by the 5th Steel Body, provides 1 bubble. The net consumption of Spear Dragon is therefore 0.5 bubbles.
Because Spear Dragon provides a bubble surplus, the rotation can be adjusted. Instead of using Inner Face Angle or Heaven-Shattering Edge after Azure Dragon in the cycle, the Three Methods should be executed using Spiral, followed by refilling the bubble resource.
Result of this change: The cycle requires one fewer use of Inner Face Angle within the Na-Seong-Gyeong (internal energy or core skill) rotation. This makes the cycle more streamlined and increases DPS.
Part 2: Revised Cycle – Removal of Heaven-Shattering Edge
The primary change to the cycle is the removal of Heaven-Shattering Edge.
Na-Seong-Gyeong now serves as a counter. For Explosive Strike, after recording the final explosion and using the setup skill, the Overdrive skill consumes only 0.5 burst. The sequence is as follows:
Use the setup skill to activate the Bar state.
Use Dragon Roar.
Use Spear Dragon.
Use Explosive Strike.
This sequence functions correctly and enables a fifth-rank performance.
Limitation: While this sequence functions in testing environments, it is not consistently executable in actual combat.
This revised cycle also enables Collective Strike. Because the bubble economy is more generous, the rotation can operate independently of Bubble's Foot Stance, allowing for multiple new cycle variations.
Part 3: Evaluation of House Blast
House Blast was tested as a potential addition to the cycle. The damage ratio for Golden Kick increases by approximately 3% when using House Blast. However, this comes with significant drawbacks:
The utility skill weakens.
Spiral Kick weakens.
The Spiral Kick cycle becomes longer.
The second Spiral Kick does not receive the buff correctly.
Conclusion: House Blast provides only a minor increase in power and is not recommended. The drawbacks outweigh the benefits.
Part 4: Five Heart Spear vs. Five Heart Pae
A comparison was conducted between Five Heart Spear and Five Heart Pae. Five Heart Spear is the stronger option.
When landing Spiral twice successfully, Five Heart Pae performs adequately. However, testing demonstrated that Five Heart Spear provides a small increase in Dragon Spear damage and approximately 2% stronger performance at 50 Pae. Na-Seong-Gyeong received a minor increase, but the DPS gain from Wind God's damage increase is larger.
Practical difference: The difference between the two options is less than 1%. Players may select either according to personal preference. Five Heart Spear is recommended as the safer choice.
Part 5: Detailed Cycle Explanation
The revised cycle is similar to the standard cycle but with specific adjustments to timing and skill priority.
Dragon Spear Priority
In the Golden Ritual cycle, Dragon Spear should be used first. Because the build uses Spear Blade, Dragon Spear must be used quickly to accelerate the second Spiral Spin.
Bubble Management
Dragon Barrier Spear consumes 3.5 bubbles. It should be used at that threshold. Spiral should then be used with 3 bubbles. The player then refills bubbles and repeats the sequence.
Example Sequence
Dragon Barrier Spear
Golden Lightning
Orolo (or comparable filler skill)
Immediate use of Spiral
Conclude with Boom Fire Na or an alternative bubble skill
Flexibility
If Spiral spins faster than anticipated, Boom Na should be used at that moment. The player may then use Dragon Spear, Windstorm, or continue with the standard Bunghwa rotation. The cycle functions identically if Buknal is used in such situations.
Adrenaline Stack Interruption
If Adrenaline stacks are interrupted, a Dragon Spear bubble remains available. This allows for changes to Special Points allocation.
Part 6: Skill and Stat Adjustments
Resource Management Adjustments
Inner Angle normally consumes 1.5 bubbles. With Elemental Management stat at 45%, it recovers 1 bubble. Elga can be removed from Inner Angle and replaced with Synergy. Synergy can then be replaced with Rebirth in Bungtae.
Limitation: When using Bunghwa and Lightning Blade, only 1 bubble is generated, resulting in a 3-bubble Spiral. This outcome is slightly suboptimal but functional.
Level 78 Option
After Landing Spiral, Bungcheon can be used instead of Neungmyeong. However, Bungcheon has an 8-second cooldown, while Inner Angle has a 6-second cooldown. Thunderclap is the standard choice; Bungcheon does not function as a replacement. This option is not recommended.
Part 7: Dragon's Roar and Tyrant King's General
This build has the most generous bubble economy among all Spiral builds. Northern Spiral is not used in this build. In the standard build, Spiral Mirror would be used, followed by Northern Spiral, followed by refilling bubbles. That sequence required an additional 0.5 bubbles. In this build, that requirement has been addressed earlier using Spiral Mirror.
Implication: Resource Amplification may not be necessary as a safety mechanism. Spiral Mirror and Swiftness demonstrate good efficiency. Dragon Barrier, Spear, and Spiral have a 21-second duration, effectively 16 seconds for practical purposes. Swiftness triggers efficiently in this setup, and Baros and Spear receive the Continuation buff.
Recommendation: Players should adjust and test this setup.
Part 8: Impale/Jil-Jin Build Comparison
The current build used in the source testing is the Impale/Jil-Jin build. Compared to the Moonlit Baros version, Impale/Jil-Jin offers a stronger cycle and increased DPS. However, attack speed decreases by 6.6%.
Trade-offs:
The attack speed reduction can be partially compensated by Surfer.
Moonlit Baros receives less of the Stone Golem buff, resulting in a lower Stone Golem rate.
When Support Pro-E and Stone Rate are refilled, Munga provides higher DPS overall.
Recommendation:Players may choose according to preference. Either option is acceptable. If you need specific gear or materials to support your chosen setup, you can find Aion 2 items for sale at MMOEXP, where a wide selection of in-game equipment is available.
